About Us
Micah 6:8: “ He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God.”
Brand Story:
American Templar isn't just another clothing brand – it's a response to a void. It's an answer to a question that's been stirring in my heart for years: Where are the Christian men who embrace strength, who serve their communities, who aren't afraid to stand up for what's right?
I grew up in the church, a preacher's kid, but I never quite fit in. I was always drawn to the warriors of the Bible – the Davids, the Peters, Samsons – men of action, men of courage, men who weren't afraid to get their hands dirty, but most importantly I was drawn to these men because they were not perfect. They were constantly missing the mark, but these men always admitted their wrongdoings, repented and became stronger warriors for Christ on the other side.
Today I see a different picture presented in the modern church. Most of the men of the church today reflect the image of a modern Pharisee or Sadducees. All theology and no action, hiding behind coffee shops and small groups. That's why I created the American Templar. To provide clothing for men who feel the same way – men who are tired of the feminized image of the modern Christian man, men who are looking for a way to express their faith with boldness and authenticity. Christian’s are called to be fishers of men, and you cannot catch any fish if you only spend your time in the market. You have to get out on the water in the wild, where the waves crash and the enemy lurks.
